LEARNING, GROWING, SUCCEEDING TOGETHER
Message from the Principal

Hello, Wildcat Family and Friends!

Welcome back to the St. John-Endicott Cooperative Schools!  I am really excited to have all our students back in the building full-time.  Our maintenance crew was busy over the summer overseeing and taking care of some needed improvements on the building.  The gym now has a new roof, the elementary, middle school hallways and kitchen received a new coat of paint.  The lunchroom and 60’s hallway now have a new tile floor and we replaced our old, student lunch tables!

We are pleased to welcome three new employees to the district.   Jeff Bartley replaces Doug Carlsen, who retired after 21 years, Kelli Melhus, who will be serving as our new health para-aide in the elementary and Shawntay Marty, who will be serving as a preschool assistant/para.

Based on the latest department of health guidelines, we are no longer required to do daily health screening checks or attestation cards, however as always if your child is not feeling well, please keep them home.

Face to face is our goal for the entire year, however if we are forced to move to virtual learning due to COVID, weather or any other reason, please see the website for virtual learning schedules for the middle and elementary school.  All K-8 students have been set up with a Google Classroom account and assigned a Chromebook. Parents and students will be able to find all information related to their classes in their Google Classroom.  Program links, assignments, educational videos and all other information related to their classes can be accessed here.  If your son or daughter has any problems with their Chromebook, accessing Google Classroom or any of the resources found there, please contact their teacher as soon as possible so the problem can be resolved.

Remember, our Re-Opening Have To’s:

    • 3-foot distancing
    • Wearing masks (preschoolers are not required to wear them)
    • Washing hands regularly

Thank you for your continued support as a partner in educating your children.  Now more than ever, we encourage families to continue to create a community of support for all our students that fosters the support and love for learning.  We know you want the best for your children and so do we.  The opportunities that we will provide this year will be greatly enhanced by your support and involvement.  I look forward to working with all of you again this year, so please do not hesitate to give me a call at 509-657-3523 if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Bruce Porubek
